This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals whose personal information we collect, including candidates, prospective candidates, referees, clients, and other users of our website.


2. Our Role

Linea Talent operates as a recruitment and talent introduction service.
 We do not operate as a labour hire provider, staffing agency, or employer of candidates.

Candidates introduced by Linea Talent are engaged directly by our clients as employees. Linea Talent does not employ, engage, or on-hire candidates.


3. Personal Information We Collect

3.1 Types of Personal Information

We may collect personal information including, but not limited to:

  • name, date of birth, and contact details
  • curriculum vitae, resumes, portfolios, and employment history
  • education, qualifications, licences, and professional memberships
  • work preferences, salary expectations, availability, and career objectives
  • referee details and reference information
  • interview notes, screening assessments, and suitability evaluations
  • correspondence and communications with us
  • information required to verify identity or work rights
  • any other information reasonably necessary to provide recruitment services

3.2 Sensitive Information

We do not actively seek to collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). However, we may incidentally collect sensitive information where:

  • it is voluntarily provided by the individual or a third party (such as a referee or client);
  • it is required or authorised by law; or
  • it is reasonably necessary for recruitment or placement purposes.

Sensitive information may include information relating to health, criminal history, or membership of professional or trade associations. Any sensitive information collected will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

  • from referees nominated by candidates
  • from clients or prospective employers

With candidate consent, we may disclose personal information to clients and prospective employers for the purpose of recruitment and employment consideration.

6.2 Other Disclosures

We may disclose personal information to:

  • referees for reference checks
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or regulators
  • service providers assisting with IT, data storage, or administrative services
  • courts, tribunals, or law enforcement agencies where required or authorised by law

We do not sell personal information.


7. Overseas Disclosure

Linea Talent does not disclose personal information to overseas recipients.

Linea Talent does not use automated decision-making or profiling to make employment or recruitment decisions.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Measures include secure systems, access controls, and confidentiality obligations.

Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe we have breached this Privacy Policy or the Privacy Act, you may lodge a complaint by contacting us. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 10 business days and resolve them within 30 business days where reasonably possible.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
